OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

The aim of the project is to raise awareness of sustainable development by strengthening the capacity and knowledge of students through innovative and creative methods of connecting with the local community.
The project “Voice of children in a sustainable community” is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth. The contents of the workshops and publications are the sole responsibility of the Society “Our Children” Opatija.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES

1. Training primary school students with knowledge and skills in the field of sustainable development and
increasing understanding of the role of one’s own actions in the community through:
1.1. Educational interactive workshops on sustainable development, global goals and practical
the rights of children of primary school age (I – IV)
1.2. Educational interactive workshops on sustainable development, global goals and practical
on children’s rights for students of higher grades (V-VIII) preparing for participation in the discussion room
2. “Our wheels – make a difference” about sustainable development, global goals and children’s participation through design and implementation of small class projects
2.1. How to get to the project we will be working on – let’s learn together
2.2. Designing and implementing the project
2.3. Sustainability Festival “Our Wheels – Making a Change” – Presentation of class projects 
3. Study visit to Sveta Nedjelja and Children’s Council of Sveta Nedjelja
