MEETING WITH MAYOR OF CITY OF OPATIJA

Our councilors of the CCC of the City of Opatija are members of the children’s councils of several large international organizations. In the last few months, they attended several meetings and events with children and for children, where they presented the work of their council and the City of Opatija with their mentors Sanja and Antonio.
They presented how it was for them, what they learned and presented, how they prepare and why it is important to invest in active children’s participation from an early age at a meeting with the Mayor of the City of Opatija, Fernando Kirigin, and representatives of the City’s Professional Services.
Our Sanja also presented the work of the Mediterranean Children’s Movement for Children’s Participation as a member of the Executive Board of the organization.
Only together can we create sustainable communities in which the well-being of every child comes first, with an emphasis on the active involvement of children in creating the life of the society in which they live!
